Trail Overview

This 14-mile Empire State Trail section is an off-road stonedust trail welcoming bicyclists and walkers of all abilities (stonedust is finely-ground, compacted limestone, which provides a flat and durable trail surface). The trail starts in the Village of Albion, and heads east on the Erie Canalway Trail to the Village of Brockport. This scenic path is on the north side of the Erie Canal, passing by farmlands, woods, scenic vistas, and water views of boats and canal infrastructure. The trail can be accessed from a number of public roads and bridges that cross the canal – however there are few formal car parking areas. Public parking and services are available in the quaint Villages of Albion, Holley, and Brockport (there are no services between the three villages).

Cycling Directions

Cue sheets provide step by step navigation instructions for cycling the trail in both directions.
