Maybrook Trailway

This 9-mile Empire State Trail section is an off-road paved trail, dedicated to bicyclists and hikers only. This section begins on the north side of the Village of Brewster, at a trail entrance off N. Main St (Route 53). This scenic rail-trail follows the Maybrook Trailway north from there, passing by dense woods, farm fields, ponds and wetlands. This section ends at a trailhead parking area in Pawling, at the intersection of Route 292 and Holmes Rd. This 9-mile section features long stretches of trail, with relatively few access points or crossroads. There are no public services along this section of the trail.
