The route follows a designated NYC bicycle route, from Dyckman Street in northwest Manhattan to Van Cortlandt Park at the intersection of Broadway and West 242nd Street. Bicyclists travel next to vehicle traffic and parked cars. The route crosses the Broadway Bridge – bicyclists can ride across next to traffic, or dismount for a short walk on a protected sidewalk.
